Catherine Aiello

A wide ranging body of work exploring and reflecting on working in the food service industry. While working as a sandwich maker at a busy Boston are cafe, I spent  a lot of my creative energy finding ways to visually interpret this experience and make visible aspects of food industry that are often hidden or overlooked.  These projects made up a virtual exhibition I presented in collaboration with the Washington Street gallery in Somerville, MA in June 2020.  Click each image for more on each project/ series.
